Hosting and access data
Cloudflare delivers and protects these sites in front of their netcup hosting server. When you visit, Cloudflare and the server process connection data including your IP address, requested address, time and browser information. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: reliable delivery and protection against abuse. Operational and security logs are separate from visitor statistics; application request logs are normally deleted after 14 days. Provider logs may have different retention periods. A specific incident or legal duty may require longer retention.
Service providers and international transfers
netcup provides hosting; Cloudflare processes requests through its global network; GMX is currently used for account and other service emails. These providers may receive connection, account or message data as needed for their task. Cloudflare may process data outside the EEA. According to Cloudflare, its data processing terms provide EU standard contractual clauses for restricted transfers; you may request information about the safeguards from us. We do not share visitor statistics with an advertising provider.
Visitor statistics
Only if you allow visitor statistics, this site sends page views, the entry page, referrer host or campaign source, language, device category, active reading time, scroll depth and selected interactions to our own server. A random key links visits in one browser tab; it is kept in sessionStorage until the tab closes. No analytics cookie, account ID, full referrer URL or IP address is saved in the statistics tables. Your consent is the basis under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for browser storage, Section 25(1) TDDDG. Raw sessions, page views and events are deleted after 30 days under the default server configuration; aggregated daily counts currently have no configured expiry.
Consent and browser storage
Your choice for visitor statistics is stored in this browser's localStorage. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time and withdraw it for the future. Reopening stops new browser statistics and discards the tab's analytics key; earlier processing remains unaffected. Necessary session cookies support sign-in; local storage may save display preferences. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies when protecting the site. External links contact their provider only when you follow them.
Accounts and contact
If you sign in, we process the account, profile and session data needed for access and security. Public profile information or posts you choose to publish can be seen by other visitors. Account provision is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; protection against abuse on Article 6(1)(f). If you contact us by email, we process your message to reply or prepare or perform a contract (Article 6(1)(b)); other enquiries rely on our legitimate interest in answering (Article 6(1)(f)). Account data is retained while the account is used; other data is deleted when no longer needed, subject to legal duties and the delayed expiry of backups.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future. Contact us at the address above. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, including the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
